Arts Pacific Gallery is a “must-visit” stop in any excursion
to Bowen Island. The arts collaborative was formed in 2003 by a small
group of artists and craftspeople who, desiring on-going exposure for
their works, selected the retail site at Artisan Square. Now, its newly
refurbished space showcases the carefully crafted works of its thirteen
members, who maintain and staff the store. Hand knits, fibre arts,
jewellery, limited edition photography, art cards, pottery, ceramics
and paintings in various media are all on display.
Since its inception, Arts Pacific has been an
integral part of the artistic community on Bowen Island, and through
the dedicated efforts of its diverse membership, it is an established
venue for the display and sale of the fine crafts and art works
available.

organization, was established in 1989 to connect families and support
family life on Bowen Island. Family Place offers drop-in programs for
parents/caregivers and their children 0-6 years old. The programs offer
strength-based family support; developmentally appropriate play-based
programming; a clothing, toy and book exchange; a resource lending
library; and parent education. New families are always welcome.

playwrights and actors, and then to the greater British

four years MaraGold has produced the Bowen Island Fridge
Theatre Festival. This very well attended festival strives
to benefit the cultural diversity of Bowen Island by
bringing high quality local and international playwrights
and actors to Bowen Island. MaraGold also works on a local
level by collaborating with emerging playwrights and actors
to help them produce their shows locally and throughout
British Columbia and Canada. Maragold is now offering an
